So, what’s new:….found a beaauutiful place on the beach with both, view of the ocean and the view of a bird estuary and Tijuana! I built my studio the way I can enjoy both sides and get inspired by them while writing or/and playing.

Writing and playing: My new DVD is ready NOW.

I think it’s about time to adopt and turn allllll that independence, speed, technique and so on and so forth into music!! As much as I felt honored seeing drummers picking up stuff from my books and previous DVD I here and there felt like I was starting something like a car race with that. That was not my point and I’d like to stress that the one and only reason I’m working on my concept is working the achieved things into my compositions. So, this time I have three bands performing with me: Mike Keneally and Bryan Beller……the Buddy Rich Big Band AAND a surprise Punk Rock effort!! Yes, of course there’s some soloing for the drum community and some playalongs included. We’ve recorded in LA, at DW and in a beautiful castle in Italy. SOOO, rush out to get your copy!!

New music is on the way as well…..I guess my new CD will be ready around early 2007. What else, recordings and gigs with Mike Keneally….ehmmmm…..it goes on and on and on…..more of that later

Here’s a picture from the tour we had with Adam Nitti and Steve Cunningham! Hope to be doing some work with them in the near future. Also I played a great show with Bryan Beller in Milano and became part of the Outreach orchestra with Adam Holzman, Dave Taylor and many many more great players in Austria.
I’ll be back in Europe in October then to tour Spain, the UK and Russia. And yeah, my new book ‘Minnemann-Maximum’ will be out soon in Sept. followed by a ‘new DVD release’ including Mike Kenally, Bryan Beller, a cool punk band project in Italy, aaaaaaaaannd…..yes……the Buddy Rich Big Band feat. such great players as Bobby Shew!! This DVD for me is a dream come true, having the chance to perform and present my music with all these great players, what an honor, thank you guys! The DVD also of course contains some soloing and a few explanations how I work on my independence and my musical concept on the set…….eehhmm what else, yes, I explain my song writing on the guitar and keys and well, you’ll see it soon:-)
All the best and thanks so much for the success on my latest CD release “contraire de la chanson”…this production means a lot to me and I put a lot of heartblood, fun and work into it. Thanks for supporting this.

I just finished some Italy dates with Bryan Beller and Adam Nitti, two unbelievable bassplayers, and I´m concentrating on some USA activities and some new releases and collaborations.

I just finished the 2nd leg of the BMW tour. Thanks again for the great response and for coming to the shows so plentiful and making it such a huge success. We’re planning to taking this tour over to europe soon….I’ll keep you posted! Also I’ve been working with Mike Keneally and Bryan Beller on new Minnemann DVD and Keneally CD releases scheduled for later this year….and there might be an Italy tour happening in July with the three of us, check the “dates” site.
Credit must be given to Michael Wolff who I’m happy and thankful to doing studiowork with since 2 years at ‘startrack studios’ in London….we worked on my CD ‘Contraire de la Chanson’ and right now are about to finish a collabaration project this summer!
Oh yes, and I will have a BIIIIIIIIG surprize ready and available for you in fall as well….but more about that: later :-) See you soon at an airport near you.

“Contraire de la chanson” is finally ready and available on this site from January, 4th 2006.
The 2x 80 min. CDs feature my widest variety of songs and intrumentals I released on a production so far! “Contraire” also features some new “music to speech” efforts such as the long awaited “Romans” piece which I already introduced on my recent South America /USA/Canada tour.
And I even have a guitar solo trade (!!) with Paul Gilbert on “butterflies”(featuring also JK Kleutgens on Bass). There are a few other exciting guest appearances on the CDs ,which you´ll have to find out on your own:-)!
“CDLC” was written and recorded in many many hotelrooms and studios in many many countries around the world 2004-2005!
